Alright Bush Leaguers, we are entering a contest. It is an International DJ competition in which we will be going up against some great Dj's from around the globe. We need 200 online votes to move to the next level of the contest, so we are asking you as our true, loyal fans hehe, to help us out and give us a moment of your time to click and vote for your favourite northern DJ's. You can listen to our set by clicking on the following link:
http://www.letsmix.com/mix/26444/shrubbery
This is a big opportunity for Bush League and we simply cannot do it without your help and support! The set we recorded for this contest is top notch and has some pretty rocking party tunes to begin with, moving into breaks and some lighter dubstep before going full bore with the groovin intense dubstep we have all come to know and love. It covers many genres and is geared towards a sound Bush League Dj's have been working on for awhile. It is a party set.
We really need your help guys! Just a few clicks of your mouse and we will move onto the next phase of this wonderful competition. Remember, it is you guys who make Bush League what it is! Without you guys we play to empty rooms and we (Bush League DJ's) would like to take this time to thank each and every one of you for your past and continued support throughout or rankings of the DJ universe. With your help we will win this contest! Let's Go Get'em!!
Thanks! Bush League DJ's.
Just a quick update on some upcoming gigs for the BLDJ's
Rob E will be spinning at the UBC campus bar The Pit tonight (Dec. 3rd). This will be his first gig at a proper venue since moving to Vancouver so watch out for some dirty electro, slammin' breaks, and bass heavy dubstep!
Check out the Facebook Event Page for more details.
Also, Clarkitech will be spinning for Basswave at The Grateful Fed on Wednesday Dec. 10th in Kelowna, BC. He's got some goodies up his sleeve that'll get your booty shakin' in no time! Expect to hear house, electro-house, and fidget!
Check out the Facebook Event Page for more details.
Happy Dancin'

The trio that make up Bush League Dj’s (Robert Murphy, Robbie Epp, and Clark Webb) have been making some noise in Canada’s great white north for the past 3 years. In a place ruled by top 40 music and a sub par club scene, these guys had a vision. They wanted to introduce the small community of Yellowknife, NT to a different sound. Knowing they had little chance of convincing the club owners to let them have an opportunity on the decks, they decided to throw their own parties. After a string of successful nights at the local Elk’s Club, they took their sound to the next level. Armed with a demo cd and a small following, they took to the clubs and after a few not so successful attempts; they found a home at the Top Knight Club. Ever since then they’ve been smashing dance floors in crowded venues and have played along side artists such as Joshua James, Dj Andabeat, and Orange Orange in Yellowknife’s famed Ice Castle during the Snow King Festival.
When it comes to musical taste, Bush League Dj’s are eclectic! Never satisfied with any one genre, these guys like to mix it up. Effortlessly moving from electro house to breaks, dubstep to drum & bass, house to fidget and back again. It’s all about keeping the music fun and interesting, not just for themselves but to their fans as well. You never know what you’re going to get when you see a BLDJ’s set! Influences include Adam Freeland, Chemical Brothers, Lee Coombs, Bassnectar, Excision, Bassbin Twins, Chase & Status, Stadga, Mat The Alien, Dj Krush, Hot City, Malente, Nick Thayer, Butch, Hernan Cattaneo, Calvertron, Wonk, Heist, 16 Bit, and Tek-One... Just to name a few.
Always pushing forward, BLDJ’s have decided to leave their home in the north and move to a warmer climate on the West Coast. Currently residing in Vancouver / Kelowna, they continue to turn heads and earn the respect of fellow dj’s whenever they take to the decks. Production is the next step and 2011 will see these guys diving head first into it so expect to hear some original music in the future.
Hello trusty & beautiful fans,
Although the Bushleague trio now occupies 3 geographic locations we will continue to quench your thirst for our music in podcast form.
Right now King Friday lives & runs the scene in Yellowknife, Clarkitect lives in Kelowna, BC and Rob-E lives in Van City. We are trying our hands on new matierial, making local connections in BC and will join forces again in the very near future.
Stay tuned and check back regularly for new podcasts. Our goal is to release a minimum of 1 every 2 weeks, but more could happen :)
Your's truly,
-Bushleague

September 12th marks the official launch of our website. We're really excited about it and to celebrate we're throwing down some tracks at the Top Knight starting at 9pm. Check out the attached poster for more info. There's been a lot of hard work put into this and we're really proud of the way it turned out. So a big thanks to Peter Epp from all of us for spending so much of your free time programming this website. Unfortunately Robert Murphy (King Friday) and myself (Rob E) are heading over seas shortly for an excursion accross Australia and South East Asia for a few months. But Clark Webb (Clarkitech) will be in Yk and will continue to share his musical tastes at upcoming gigs while we're away. But Bush League will be back together again in December in full force and we look forward to a special New Years Eve party at the Top Knight. So stay tuned.
